Hello everyone, my name is Cheri Brown. I am an LMSW Intern who is receiving Clinical Social Work Supervision toward LCSW licensure from Chelsea McKinney-Scott, LCSW-S. I was called to be a helper early in life and I value your inherent worth.
I earned my bachelor and master’s degrees in Social Work from The University of Kansas with a focus in administration and community mental health. I have vast work experience including working with those diagnosed with severe and persistent mental illness AND being a licensed chemical dependency counselor. I currently volunteer to reduce suicide among active duty service members as they transition into civilian life. I continue to work with multiple populations and dedicate my life to helping people from cradle-to-grave. A few of the tools I love to utilize g are: Art, Music, & Play Therapy Techniques, Bowen Family Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, EMDR, Grief Counseling, Guided Imagery, Mediation strategies, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Tapping, Trauma Informed Care, and Values Clarification.
So, if you are searching for a life changing experience designed from success proven formulas, I’m here to creatively address your concerns. I’m really looking forward to working with you as you travel on the path to gaining Peace of Mind and rediscovering your greatness.
